बरमिंघम : अंगिका भाषा साहित्य के क्षेत्र में एक नया इतिहास रचा गया है. इंगलैंड के दूसरे सबसे बङे शहर बरमिंघम में 27 से 29 अगस्त तक आयोजित अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बहुभाषीय संगोष्ठी, IMS-2005, में अंगिका के साहित्यकार श्री कुंदन अमिताभ द्वारा अंगिका भाषा में आलेख और कवितायें पढीं गईं. किसी विदेशी भूमि पर आयोजित किसी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर के कार्यक्रम में अंगिका भाषा की रचनायें पढी जाने का यह पहला मौका था. श्री अमिताभ को संगोष्ठी में अंगिका एवं अंग्रेजी में अपनी रचनायें पढ़ने के लिये विशेष रूप से आमंत्रित किया गया था. उनकी इस ऐतिहासिक भागीदारी से बिहार एवं अंग की संस्कृति तथा अंगिका भाषा को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर एक नई पहचान हासिल हुई है. [wzslider autoplay=”true”] बिड़ला इंस्टीच्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी से इंजीनियरिंग की डिग्री हासिल करने वाले हिन्दी, अंग्रेजी एवं अंगिका के लेखक श्री कुंदन अमिताभ पिछले चौबीस बर्षों से अंगिका-साहित्य सृजन में लगे हैं और फिलहाल मुम्बई के एक कंसल्टिंग कम्पनी में सीनीयर रेजीडेंट इंजीनियर के… Read More

Urge to include Angika in the eighth schedule

Jamshedpur: Amra Bangali, a socio-political organisation, welcomed the inclusion of Santhali and Maithili in the eighth schedule of the Constitution. Secretary of Amra Bangali Ashish N. Choudhury said the step will promote Maithili and Santhali languages. He said the government should also include Bhojpuri, Angika, Nagpuri and Magahi in the eighth schedule. BJP hopeful for inclusion of Angika language in the list of Eighth Schedule

PATNA: Sushil Kumar Modi has expressed the hope that languages like Bhojpuri, Magahi and Angika would be included in the list of Eighth Schedule during the course of time. Addressing a press meet, leader of the opposition in the assembly Sushil Kumar Modi and former BJP state chief Tarakant Jha said what the Congress could not do in 45 years of its regime at the Centre, the BJP has done it in five years . ” With the inclusion of Maithili in the Eighth Schedule,  our commitment for both Maithili and Mithilanchal is complete,” remarked Modi. Modi recalled that in 1992, the Laloo government had removed Maithili as an optional subject in state puplic service exams. “When the Patna High Court ordered the inclusion of Maithili, the RJD government appealed against the Supreme Court.
